Eyeglass and Hearing Aid Recycling
Make a difference by donating your unused eyeglasses and hearing aids. Local Lions Club members sort through the donated glasses, preparing them for distribution on international missions, while hearing aids are refurbished to help those in need.
Together with thousands of Lions members from 70 clubs across Idaho and Eastern Oregon, we collect, sort, and distribute used eyeglasses. These glasses are sent with humanitarian medical mission teams to underdeveloped countries, providing essential corrective lenses to those in need. By participating in this program, you also contribute to sustainability efforts, protecting our environment by keeping thousands of glasses out of landfills.
Additionally, through our Hearing Aid Bank, various community organizations, manufacturers, and caring individuals donate used and unwanted hearing aids. These are then refurbished and distributed back into the community at no charge to children and adults in need.
Eye glasses and hearing aids can be donated at our office.
1090 N Cole Rd, Boise, ID 83704
Eye glasses can also be donated at your local optometrist office, Idaho Youth Ranch, and Walmart.
“It makes her life & the life of her loved ones easier”
"I tell you with tears in my eyes that my mom's hearing aid turned out to be the best hearing aid she has had for at least 30 years, if not ever. She is so happy with it. It makes her life and the life of her loved ones easier as she can communicate again, which is her favorite thing in life. That and of course ice cream, she loves that too! Our visits are fun again and full of talking and reliving memories."
